If I whisper into your ear, will you listen?

If I ask you a question, will you answer?

If I tell a joke, will your mood brighten?

If I held you tight, will you struggle?

If I kissed you, will you cry?

If you slapped me, will it tingle?

If you left me, will I die?

If you cherished me, will I smile?

If you thanked me, will I be glad?

If you killed me, will I be angry?

If I leave this world, will you be sad?

When I roam, will you follow?

If I disappear, will you be in sorrow?

Your soul is fragile, so precious you see;

But the pain will last only momentarily.
